Uncorked: Fetzer Vineyards

This year, Fetzer Vineyards, the historic Mendocino County-based winery lauded for its beloved California wines and pioneering leadership in sustainability, is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

To mark the golden anniversary – which comes at an exciting time for the winery, as it was recently recognized by the United Nations with a Momentum for Change award for its pace-setting sustainability practices – Fetzer is releasing a limited-edition 50th anniversary commemorative Cabernet Sauvignon, available nationwide.

·         Filled with bright fruit flavors, and framed by decadent undertones of mocha, vanilla and toffee, the limited--edition Fetzer50th Anniversary California Cabernet Sauvignon Anniversary Reserve (SRP $12.99) is a mix of choice fruit grown in select California regions including the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Blended with select other reds including Petit Verdot, Merlot and Syrah, this wine is rounded out by bold tannins and a juicy finish.

·         To highlight this festive time, a 50th Anniversary sticker will also be added to the entire Fetzer line of award-winning wines for everyday enjoyment, including the winery’s 2016 Valley Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon (SRP $9.99), 2016 Sauvignon Blanc (SRP $9.99), 2016 Eagle Peak Merlot (SRP $9.99), 2016 Shaly Loam Gewurztraminer (SRP $10.99) and 2016 Goosefoot Road Riesling (SRP $11.99).

Let's raise a glass to 50 years of outstanding winemaking!  Cheers!
