Visit Santa at Chaplin's Restaurant

I recently visited Chaplin's for brunch.  Slurp down some ramen in the morning and then come back at night to sit on a jolly man's lap.

Santa Claus is coming to Chaplin’s Restaurant. On Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19 meet Santa Claus, take Polaroid –or Instagram- photos and enjoy Christmas cocktails (non-alcoholic available). On both evenings from 5p.m.-7p.m. and 8p.m.-10p.m., kids of all ages can pose with Santa and tell him their Christmas wishes. While pictures are free, Santa and Chaplin’s will be collecting donations for Bread for the City, a local Shaw neighborhood non-profit organization that provides vulnerable DC residents with comprehensive aid including food, clothing, medical, legal and social services.
#babycapcook is on the nice list

Christmas cocktails will be available in addition to Chaplin’s regular Happy Hour deals. Holiday drinks include Spiced Butternut Squash ($7) featuring cognac, calvados, apple brandy and lemon; served hot with a mace dusting and Thai Chili Raw Cacao Hot Chocolate ($7) featuring trickling springs cream and gold dust. For those under 21 mocktails like hot mulled House Made Apple Cider ($5) with Irish butter will be available.

About Bread for the City
Started in 1974, Bread for the City is a front line agency serving Washington’s poor.  The agency began as two organizations; Zacchaeus Free Clinic began in 1974 as a volunteer-run free medical clinic, and Bread for the City was created in 1976 by a coalition of downtown churches to feed and clothe the poor. The two entities merged in 1995. Today, we operate two Centers in the District of Columbia and provide direct services to low-income residents of Washington, DC. All of our services are free. Our mission is to provide comprehensive services, including food, clothing, medical care, legal and social services to low-income Washington, DC residents in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.
