Thanksgiving Fun

Did you have a nice Thanksgiving?  We did.

We went out to eat for the first time ever.  #babycapcook was on her best behavior for the first part of the meal, but making it through dessert is a lot to ask for a 1 year old.  Le Diplomate did an excellent job with the meal.  The weather was so nice that we dined on the patio.  The city was completely dead.  We took a post-meal stroll to the park for #babycapcook to enjoy some swing time.  Sometimes it feels perfect avoiding the hustle and bustle of traveling and to savor a long weekend at home.

We did end up making a turkey on Friday to celebrate with friends.  The meal was delicious and we always love hosting.

We continued soaking up the nice weather with a hike and stroll through Georgetown on Saturday.  The weekend wouldn't be complete without buying our Christmas tree.  Whole Foods sells fresh trees for $49.

Most importantly, I spent time to reflect and to be grateful for all of life's blessings.  2015 has been a wonderful year.  I hope it has been amazing for you as well.

What are your Thanksgiving traditions?
