Weekend Get-Aways on Let's Talk Live

Did you see our recent segment on Let's Talk Live?  Check out my take on weekend get-aways by clicking here.

Middleburg

The Salamander Resort: This place is amazing. I drove out there recently in a brand new Cadillac. The property is gorgeous, the food is delicious and the activities are wonderful. Horse Whispering, yoga, massages and top notch cuisine.

The Goodstone Inn: Charming place with a bed and breakfast feel. Excellent food. 265 acres of rolling pastures and woodlands the heart of Northern Virginia's hunt in wine country. Breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the surrounding countryside From every vantage point. You'll love the finest hospitality, dining, and personalized attention. Beautiful hikes around the property. Great ride out there with the Ford Fusion Hybrid. Excellent Gas Mileage and smooth ride.

The town of Middleburg offers shopping, fantastic cuisine, and the beauties of nature. We had a wonderful time hiking the grounds of the Goodstone Inn and getting a breath of fresh air. We walked around the quaint town of Middleburg and stopped in to some cute little shops. There are also many wineries that you can stop off for a tasting or to listen to some live music. Middleburg is the perfect place for a weekend retreat. I hope to go back very soon!

Baltimore

The Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore offers a chic, five-star, resort-like getaway in the heart of Harbor East, the city’s hippest new district. The hotel has a great fitness center and comfortable beds. The staff is super friendly. It is just a couple years old so everything is new and fresh. This resort oasis has a bi-level terrace overlooking the harbor with an infinity pool, whirlpool, reflection pool, lounges and cabanas, and a Pool Bar and Grill. (Take part in that this summer.)  Wit and Wisdom is one of the best meals I’ve ever had.  Great shopping, baseball, aquarium, etc. around Baltimore.

Charlottesville

Plush accommodations, wineries, fine dining, boozy brunch, hiking, leaf peaking and the list goes on... The combination for a perfect weekend city-escape awaits just a short road trip away in Charlottesville. Home to the historically prestigious University of Virginia (UVA), Charlottesville has so much to offer beyond touring the beautiful campus.

The Boars Head is another charming resort. The grounds of the Boars Head Inn are impressive, boasting a golf course, squash courts, Olympic sized pool, spa, tennis courts, three restaurants and its very own lake perfect for sitting near and taking in the sunset or sunrise. The Trump Winery is breathtaking. Dining at the classy Old Mill Room.

Beach

Bethany is still probably my fav, but we’re going to Ocean City this year. It is a quick drive around 4 hours. You can relax on the beach, walk on the boardwalk and enjoy lots of seafood. There’s something for everyone. Fried clams, bbq, Mango’s, shopping.
