First Call with Tanqueray

If you’re anything like me you don't have the fondest of memories drinking gin. On the list of spirits I frequently indulge in, gin routinely came in last. I knew I would enjoy the view from the roof top of the Donovan house during the Tanqueray Industry party, I just wasn't so sure about the drinks. It came as a very welcome surprise how favorable, refreshing and enjoyable gin can be, especially a high end bottle such as Tanqueray. If you really want to enjoy beverage that has a more unique and sophisticated flavor, then your run of the mill mixed drink, then gin is the perfect starting point.

The party was awesome with the can't miss setting of Donovan House roof top at sundown, tasty passed hors d’oeuvres with Asian flare, flowing specialty drinks, and a special appearance from the Tanqueray Global Ambassador Angus Winchester.

I'll take two things away from this party some delicious drink recipes:

The Rickey (DC’s Official Drink):
Tanqueray London Dry
Fresh Lime Juice
Soda Water

The Southside (Gin Mojito):
Tanqueray No. 10
Fresh Lime
Simple Syrup
Mint
Soda Water

Tanqueray and Tonic (The Classic):
Tanqueray London Dry
Fresh Lime Juice
Fever Tree Tonic Water

And secondly the idea of first call: The drink that begins your night. The drink that is filled with so much promise and happiness for the events and adventures that are soon to follow. So next time you grab a Rickey and raise your glass to First Call!
